This book is under the category of book arts, where I strung together three different book artist, Timothy C. Ely, Hedi Kyle, and Susan E. King. I was inspired to make comparisons between form and function. In this project, I used grid systems similar to the geometry of Timothy C. Ely, the flag book folded form from Hedi Kyle, and experimented with materials like Susan E. King. Each row in the flag book features work and essays of the designated artists, while the introduction and conclusion sections are self written historical background of bookbinding, and comparisons and evaluations of the artists. The book is 151 pages, and 9" x 13". When open, the book lies 5 feet long.
